What T4T can do for the Environment:
Prevent: By redirecting tons of raw and finished materials into the hands of educators and students, T4T reduces the need for ordering new items for the classroom. Fewer purchases means less consumption of our natural resources, which prevents additional pollution and waste.
Protect: Keeping as much as possible out of our landfills is critical to reversing the negative impact on our fragile ecosystem. Every pallet of material we repurpose for education represents 27 cubic feet of space saved, as well as protecting our air from additional pollutants (in the event of landfill fires).
Preserve: Future generations will benefit from the lessons our children learn today. Environmental stewardship leads to greater community involvement, and reversing our society's trend of "disposability" will lead to the preservation of our landscape and our quality of life.
