The competition will award multiple prizes ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 to schools with the best, most innovative programs for getting students to be physically active.  This opportunity is for programs currently being used in elementary schools (ages 5-12, K-6th grade). We hope you can share this opportunity with your members, as we are sure there are great examples out there of highly innovative and successful programs.

The deadline for entries to the ASAP Innovation Competition is April, 2, 2012. Please share this information as soon as possible so your members don’t miss out on the opportunity.  Visit www.ActiveSchoolsASAP.org for more information.

The SRP Classroom Connections program offers Learning Grants of up to $5,000 per school for projects and programs that incorporate innovative teaching strategies in math and science and meet performance standards by the Arizona Academic Standards.

Social Studies Grants are available for up to $2,000 per teacher. The project must support the enrichment and enhancement of classroom instruction in history, geography, civics, government and economics, and also meet Arizona Academic Standards’ performance standards. He roars, moves his head, burps, walks and makes some great moves. He is used, but works great! We will demo him for you.
